iQOO 13 is all set to be launched in China on October 30, an indication of the imminent release in India. Putting all the speculations to rest, the flagship phone is also confirmed to launch in India. The company has been teasing about the iQOO 13 for some time now. It is confirmed to come powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite. Barring this detail, the company has not unveiled any information. But the rumours and leaks got it all covered. According to the recent leak, the smartphone will debut in India on December 5. Let’s look at what more we know.
iQOO’s product manager, Galant V, mentioned on Weibo (through ITHome) that a price hike for the iQOO 13 is “inevitable,” citing a rise in production costs by several hundred yuan. However, he did not disclose the exact amount of the increase. Similar to the Chinese variant, the price in India is expected to rise more than its predecessor, iQOO 12.
Rumours suggest the iQOO 13 may see a price increase in China, potentially raising its cost in India to around Rs 59,999, up from the iQOO 12 5G’s price of Rs 52,999.
The sale will go live on Amazon, as a micro-site for the phone is already up.
The design of the iQOO 13 has been revealed, showing a style very similar to the iQOO 12, with only a few adjustments. On the back, it retains the familiar square camera module with three lenses, now enhanced by an LED strip around it that adds a bit of flair. Although the LED strip’s purpose hasn’t been confirmed, it could serve as a notification indicator for calls or messages. Another noticeable tweak is the placement of the LED flash, which has been moved inside the camera module. Aside from these minor changes, the rest of the design remains largely unchanged from its predecessor. iQOO has introduced the iQOO 13 in four colours in China: green, silver, brown, and white, which are likely to be available in India as well.
Under the hood, the iQOO 13 will be powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Lite chipset, as confirmed by the brand on its social channels. It is set to feature a 6.82-inch 2K display with a 144Hz refresh rate and will run on the latest Android 15 OS right out of the box. The device is expected to come with a 6,125mAh battery and support for 120W fast charging, and the fast charger is anticipated to be included in the retail package.
Additionally, the phone will have dual speakers and includes an efficient cooling system with multi-layer graphene and a 7K ultra-large VC heat spreader. While the camera specifications haven’t been officially announced, leaks suggest the iQOO 13 could come with a triple rear camera setup, including a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 50-megapixel 2x telephoto lens. A 32-megapixel front camera is also rumoured for selfies.
